Ylva -
The Wiking Girl

This character was part of another character design assignment, where the focus was on accurate and well-researched reference work. The goal was to design a figure from the Viking Age with a historically accurate appearance.

Details

Description

The name Ylva was a common name in the Viking Age in the Nordic regions and translates to “she-wolf.” Within her tribe, she does not take on the typical role of women at that time. Instead, she is a skilled tracker, knowledgeable in plants and herbs, and fights alongside her male companions with her swinging axe to protect nature and her family.

The magical forests of the North give her strength and energy, which is why she often travels alone, listening to the familiar howling of wolves.
